The new  V-Strom  gets an aluminum frame and a fully adjustable 43 mm  fork.  The 1037 c.c. six speed engine is equipped with a slipper clutch and a two-mode traction control which can be deactivated. The ABS is standard, there are two 310mm rotors at the front together with four-pistons monobloc radial calipers and a 295 mm rotor at the rear with a single pot caliper. 

The screen may be  adjusted without tools  at three levels and angles. The dimensions of the wheels are 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear.  The weight of the bike is 228 kgs (502.6 lbs) nominal curb.  Here is the  Suzuki V-Strom 1000 website.

Scoop: The Suzuki V-Strom 1000 is being tested on the German Alps

According to the Motorcyclistonline website, the oncoming Suzuki V-Strom 1000 was photographed being tested on the Alps. The inverted fork, the linkage at the shock, the tubular subframe and  the chain final drive are some key features. 



This prototype is very similar to the bike shown at Intermot last year, which means that the new motorcycle could  be released in the last months of  2013.

A new website for the oncoming Suzuki V-Strom 1000, by the manufacturer.

The website publishes an interview with Tomohisa Ichimaru, the Product Planner, of the large V-Strom. 



A teaser video, some photos and a small history of Suzuki¢s big adventure bikes from 1988 to date are there for the visitor of the website. The new bike should get an ABS as standard and an optional traction control.
