Ian Hunchinson wins the 2013 Macau GP (+the full video of th e race)
Ian Hunchinson who had not raced for 18 months due to a severe leg injury, took the pole position by 0.057 secs from the eight time winner Michael Rutter. Gary Johnson and the TT legend John Mc Guinness were also close.
Rutter took the lead in the race although on lap five Hunchinson got in front. The race was red flagged due to a light accident on the eleventh lap. The order at the finish line behind Hunchinson was Rutter, Johnson and Mac Guinness.
"It's one of the most special wins I've ever had with what's gone on over the last three years," he said. "Hopefully now we can put everything with what happened with my leg behind us and continue where we were three years ago." said Hunchinson after the race. He has won all individual five categories at the 2010 Isle of Man TT.
