The SR 500 was originally introduced in 1978. In the latest years it was available only to the Japanese market, powered by a 400 c.c. engine. 



The single cylinder, air cooled, 2 valves, 399 c.c. engine delivers 23.2 bhp/6500 rpm and 2.8 kgm/3000 rpm(20.2 ft lbs) torque. A 298 mm disk brake is equipped at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The dimensions of the tyres are 100/90-18 at the front and 110/90-18 at the rear. The wet weight is 174 kg (383 lbs), while the price is expected to be about ¤6000.
