The 600000 Euros motorcycle: The 24 K gold Lauge Jensen
The Lauge Jensen is a Danish hand-made custom motorcycle manufacturer. About 500 bikes are built per year, with an average cost of 32000 Euros. The Lauge Jensen bikes were the first custom motorcycles in the world to pass Euro - 4 emissions standards.
The engine is a fuel injected 1800 c.c. delivering 70 bhp/4300 rpm and 12.2 kgm/3100 rpm torque, claimed figures.
This specific bike is wrapped in 24-carat gold and hundreds of diamonds, thus the bike costs the price of a yacht. The bike can be ridden straight away, although it is recommended that the future owner should swap the silencers with stock units as the surrounding gold will soon start to melt on the road.
