The 2013 Forbes list of the highest paid athletes places Valentino Rossi to the 51st position. He is 5th overall at the motosports list, behind the F1 and Nascar stars Fernando Alonso ($30m), Lewis Hamilton ($27.5m), Dale Earnhardt ($26m) and Jimmie Johnson ($24m).

Rossi has fallen quite a lot of places behind the Forbes list over the last years, despite his ($22m – 16.7 m Euros) total income from 2012/6/1 to 2013/6/1. No other motorcycle racer is included within the top 100 entries.
