CCM goes adventure: The new GP 450
The manufacturer says that every adventure starts with a single step. The liquid cooled 449.5 c.c. single cylinder engine is manufactured by Kymco. It had been also used for the Bmw G450X which is discontinued. The engine delivers 40 bhp/7000 rpm and 4.36 kgm / 6500 rpm (31.6 ft lbs/6500 rpm) torque, claimed figures. Thus this is a detuned engine so that service intervals are increased to 8000 km (5000 miles) and fuel consumption is decreased. The top speed is 145 km/h (90 mph).
An aluminum frame and swing arm are equipped, the weight is low at 130 kg (286.6 lbs). A 47 mm inverted fork is equipped at the front adjustable for rebound and compression, a fully adjustable shock at the rear. Brembo brakes are equipped. The wheels are 21” at the front and 19” at the rear.
There are many factory extras.
The bike should be ready by October. The price is expected to be 8000 GBP (9200 Euros -12100 USD). Here comes the CCM website and a short presentation by MCN.
