MV Agusta introduces the Brutale 800
The Brutale 800 will fulfill the gap between the 675 triple and the 1090. Power is considerably increased for the three cylinder 800 c.c. engine compared to the 675. Claimed figures are 125 bhp/ 11600 rpm and 8.3 Kgm/ 8600 rpm (59.7 lbs ft /8600 rpm) torque.
Additionally fully adjustable Marzocchi suspensions and an advanced electronic package are provided. That means a full ride by wire system, an eight level traction control, three pre-set maps and one adjustable by the rider.
The weight will be 167 kgs (368 lbs). Two 320 mm rotors and four piston Brembo radial calipers are featured at the front, while a 220mm rotor and two pots caliper at the rear. A Trellis frame and a single side swing arm are a must concerning decent Italian steetfighters.
The price is expected between 10000 and 11000 Euros, depending on the version. The bike will be presented at the Eicma motor-show in Milan.
Comment: What about an optional ABS combined with all these sophisticated electronics?
