The facility at Chakan – India has been manufacturing the small displacement street – legal Ktm bikes and exports them to the whole world. In the same way the R&D and the production cost of the Ktm bikes up to 800 c.c. will be significantly suppressed when  these bikes will be made in India. 
Furthermore, a twin cylinder 500 and 800 c.c. engine is expected to be featured on the same platform used on a new series of different styled bikes (naked, supersport and adventure).
