Suzuki GSF 650S ABS, (2007-2010): Almost for every road use.
Engine: The liquid cooled engine of 656 c.c. is fed via injection. Almost from idle, 1500 rpm, there is a constant power flow, without any noticeable steps. Very linear indeed, up to the rev limiter at 13000 rpm.Not really impressive, the top power delivery is adequate, for every possible ride that this bike will be asked to make, 78 bhp nominal value.
On the road: Gsf 650s is a comfortable bike, under all circumstances. The height of the seat may be adjusted and the suspension is between comfort and sport riding. A linkage is provided at the rear suspension.
On town rides the increased handlebar movement is a pleasant surprise, aiding commuting. However its a relatively long, narrow and bulky-heavy bike that will not object to traffic.
Handling is neutral and when pushed, relatively slow change of direction. This should be expected from a bike that may be used for everything, including short or longer trips. Feedback to the rider is very good.
ABS is very good, included in the price.
Comments: When touring, air protection by the standard screen is just better than supersport-superbikes. Ôhe seat height is adjustable. An engine temperature gauge would be welcomed.
Short or longer trip, you name it
