The Husqvarna TR650 Strada and TR650 Terra are two new models from Husqvarna which are expected in UK dealers around September/October.

They're essentially the same bike, with the Strada the more road-focussed of the two and the Terra more able to tackle off-road riding.

They're powered by the 652cc single-sylinder engine from the BMW G650GS, although power has been incresed from 47bhp to a claimed 58bhp. There will also be a reduced power version for riders on a restricted licence, which will make 48bhp. The new restriction rules start in 2013.

The Strada will come with ABS as standard, following BMW adding ABS as standard to all their new models, while it will be an optional extra on the Terra.

Comment: Except from the differences in engine and design, these Husqvarna bikes are very similar to the superb and timeless Bmw G650GS. This is the second time after the Nuda which was based on the F800R.
